Correcting 1099 to $0

Hello,

I see this was an issue last year as well. I need to file a corrected 1099-NEC for $0. When I attempt to do so via TurboTax, I am told the form is incomplete because there is no amount (even when I type in $0.00). Please help me fix this fast as I don't want my contractor double taxed.

You can't file a 1099-NEC in Quick Employer Forms in the amount of $0. The least amount that can be entered in box 1 is $.50.

The quickest way to file a corrected 1099-NEC for $0, is to use the IRS website or download the form and instructions to complete by hand.
