<P>An attorney was fired from a law firm but was required to finish the work on a few cases he had started. Can he deduct his expenses on a schedule C even though there is no income. Took about six weeks to close the cases.</P>

schedule 1 part 1 8z list 12,832 for qual state tuition prgm from 1099-1. Why was that added as other income? All distributions were qualified expenses.
