As a self-employed dancer/entertainer, when entering in expenses, do you list every individual item separately or clump certain expenses together?

There are different categories of expenses like Supplies and Vehicle and Assets, and when I click one, I am asked to describe the expense and write the cost. Am I supposed to list every item separately by product name or just clump certain expenses together such as "Outfits/Clothing" and "Cosmetics?" This is my first year doing my taxes as a dancer and I'm totally clueless when it comes to this stuff so I apologize if the question is odd but I'm genuinely unsure.

Yes, you can group together expenses that are in the same category on one line and then enter the total for that type of expense.  You will just want to keep detailed records of how you determined the total amount of that expenses that was entered on the tax return.
