2023 AMENDED TAX RETURN - ADDING SCHEDULE C - CANNOT ADD EXPENSES

I am trying to amend my 2023 turbo tax return so that I can add a schedule C to it. I need to add the schedule C income AND expenses. I was able to add the self-employment business info and income, but the website keeps glitching and will not let me add the expenses for it. I have tried EVERYTHING!!! I cleared all history, cookies, caches, etc...... logged in and out.... tried different browsers, google chrome, microsoft edge, etc..... cleared history, cookies, cache again..... nothing!!! I am getting very very frustrated!! HOW TO ADD EXPENSES TO AN AMENDED RETURN WHEN ADDING A NEW SCHEDULE C BUSINESS??? My original 2023 return was just W-2 income, but I am trying to amend it to include self-employment schedule C income AND EXPENSES. It seems like the website is glitching because it has an "add expenses" button, and when I press it, it just reloads the same page and doesn't go to the add expense page. THIS IS SO ANNOYING!! I have read other post about people experiencing issues with amended returns adding schedule C expenses.... some have suggested that it is because I didn't buy the needed software for a schedule C when I originally filed and now there is no way to upgrade it for an amended tax return?? That does not seem right. I have to be able to amend my tax return. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!

2023 AMENDED TAX RETURN - ADDING SCHEDULE C - CANNOT ADD EXPENSES

I would like to take a deeper look at this. However, I need a diagnostic file which is a copy of your tax return that has all of your personal information removed. You can send one to us by following the directions below:

 

TurboTax Desktop/Download Versions:

  1. Open your return.
  2. Click the Online tab in the black bar across the top of TurboTax and select “Send Tax File to Agent” *
  3. This will generate a message that a diagnostic copy will be created.  Click on OK and the tax file will be sanitized and transmitted to us.
  4. Please provide the Token Number (including the dash) that was generated in the response.

*(If using a MAC, go to the menu at the top of the screen, select Help, then, “Send Tax File to Agent”)
