I went on February 28,2018 to verify my identity. Why would it take 6-9 weeks to receive my refund?

Mine still says being processed. I got excited cause ours said the same dates but unfortunately no update for me.

Call them and tell them where is your intrest if they give you some bs tell them when you filed so that A. They took longer than both there rule of 45 days and the april tax deadline you know the law your owed 4% intrest of your total refund amount daily and if they gove ypu b.s say transfer me to the claims department

If IRS pays you interest, then interest on the refund will start on the return due date, late filed return received date, or date the payment was made, whichever is the latest.

How do you find out if they do owe you intrest?

I’m not sure. I checked my bank account and I see the transaction is scheduled for tomorrow morning to come. I see I don’t have any interest on mine. I’m not even going to try to find about about any interest. I’m just glad I’m getting my deposit.

I FILED MY TAXES JANUARY 29TH AFTER WAITING AND CHECKING FOR A MONTH I CALLED. LADY SAID MY CASE IS UNDER REVIEW I SHOULD HEAR SOMETHING IN 60 DAYS! THIS WAS 3/9 MY BIRTHDAY. STILL NO WORD SO I CALLED 4/18 AND LADY PULLED MY ACCOUNT AND SAID I WAS GIVEN THE WRONG INFORMATION AND ALL I HAD TO DO WAS VERIFY MY IDENTITY. SHE WAS SPEECHLESS CAUSE SHE SAID ITS SOMETHING I COULD HAVE BEEN RESOLVED. SHE KEPT APOLOGIZING FOR THE OTHER WOMEN MISGIVEN INFORMATION. SHE SET ME AN APPOINTMENT FOR 4/19. I PASSED THE PROCESS AND WAS TOLD I HAD TO WAIT UP FOR 9 WEEKS. WAS HOPING FOR SOOMER DATE BUT NOW IM BEING EVICTED AND FORCED TO SEPERATE FROM MY FIANCE. I HAVE BEEN SEEING PROCESSED SINCE MY TAXES WERE ACCEPTED. MY STATE CAME BACK WITHIN A WEEK OF FILING.

I filed  January 29, had to verify 2/21 then received CP05 3/19,  letter 4464C on 3/20, I updated 4/18, deposit date 4/20. Total wait  80 days.  A lot of us on here have waited a long time
