I accidentally listed my residence in the wrong state in ADP and didn't catch it for 2.5 months. Now I have two W-2s, 1 for a state I never lived or worked in. Help!

My information was eventually corrected in ADP, but I now have two W-2s and I'm not sure what to do. Do I have to pay taxes to the typo state? Or should I change the total amount of income for my actual state of residence/business?

You will not have to pay taxes to the typo state. All you have to do is enter your W-2s exactly as you see them. Once you complete your federal return, TurboTax will prompt you to file a nonresident tax return, so that you can get a refund from the typo state of those erroneously withheld income taxes. Make sure to enter the amounts (do not adjust) from your W-2 so that TurboTax prompts you to file the nonresident return.
