I received my Federal refund but my check was short by 141.11 when I filed and after my fee deduction for Turbo Tax the refund was to be 738 but came back 596 Why?

You should verify if the amount of $738 agrees to the amount of your federal refund on your federal tax return. If it does, then the amount is before TurboTax fees and Refund Processing Service fees have been deducted.

If you chose to pay TurboTax with your federal refund, once the IRS reviews and approves your federal refund, the amount is sent to a third-party, who processes the TurboTax fees and the remaining amount is deposited into the bank account you provided. The state refund(s) must be reviewed and approved and will be sent directly from the state department(s) of revenue (no third-party is involved).
