How do I see my Schedule A calculations in TurboTax Premier online if I've already filed my return and took the standard deduction?

I know the standard deduction was higher, but I want to see the calculations of my itemized deductions so I can see how large the difference was.

After you have efiled, you can print your entire return with all forms and worksheets. Or you can view it. Sign in and click download/print return. There is the Schedule A, the medical worksheet, tax & interest worksheet, and the misc. deductions worksheet.

How do I see my Schedule A calculations in TurboTax Premier online if I've already filed my return and took the standard deduction?

Cindy, thanks for the reply. I have already efiled and downloaded a pdf of my return using the only option given, but Schedule A and none of the worksheets you mention are in it. I assumed that was because none were necessary to be included when filing my return since I took the standard deduction.

Well if you can get back in you might be able to do this.  But be careful not to change your actual filed return.  Anything you do will overwrite your real return.

If it's giving you the Standard Deduction and  not showing you Schedule A you can check the actual amount of itemized deductions by using by going to
Tax Tools on left
Tools - Topic Search (top left box)
Type in  itemized deductions, choosing.  It should highlight that in the list, click on GO

Then Click on "Change my deduction". That will display the actual amount of itemized deductions vs. the standard deduction.    (Be sure to uncheck "Change my deduction" after checking it so you do not lock in the wrong deduction.

This year deductions are changing and several will be limited.  There is a max 10,000 limit of State, local, property, and sales tax (SALT) deduction.  And employee job expenses have been suspended.  You can only deduct Medical/Dental that's over 7.5% of your AGI.

Thanks, that sounds promising. I couldn't get back in to my return (and access Tax Tools)—but that's probably because my state return hasn't been accepted. I'll try again once that happens.

You need to click on Add a State to get back in.  DO NOT click on Amend.
