Can I send my amended 2015 taxes and file my 2016 taxes at the sametime?

I have to send an amended 1040x for 2015, but is it okay if I continue with 2016 taxes and file them?

Yes, you can mail your amended 2015 tax return and efile your 2016 tax return at the same time. The amended tax return will take longer to process but that will not delay the 2016 return from being processed.
