After I entered my payment information and hit submit, a review window came up for one last review of my data. One of the items to review was the singular W-2 data. Assuming that the W-2 data did not carry forward for the State portion (Which I had elected to file simultaneously) I re-entered the W-2 information. It wasn't until I printed (to PDF File) the Returns that I realized (AFTER SUBMISSION for acceptance to both Federal and State) that TurboTax had literally doubled the Amount of the W-2 Earnings resulting in a much lower federal return and higher amount owed to the State. It took me three days to get someone from Turbotax on the phone and their answer was, Sorry about that.....yeah we've heard that's happened to others, you'll have to wait until both Federal and State accept your returns before you'll get the Amend 2020 button on your software and then you can change it or correct it. (I'm thinking it was Intuits Software issue, (Yeah, we've heard that's happened to others???????) Are you kidding me.....Three Days to reach someone during tax season......Sorry? Give me a break. Turbotax, if you even bother to read theses....16 years I've been using you. Not the kind of answer or responses I expect even during COVID challenges from a company whose bulk of your workers work from home ALWAYS......No excuses for such poor performance this time. Poor Job
