How long after the bank rejects my refund will it take the IRS to issue me a paper check

I was told it's up to 6 weeks but from the day the irs receives the check back. Do you know the date when they receive the refund back

Ya know that's a good question. I believe it was sent back 2/25 2 days before it was supposed to deposit...

Depending on when irs received the refund back it will be 6 weeks from the date when you when receive your paper check that's what i was told when i called and spoke with someone at irs

Ok great thanks. One person told me April 3rd so I'm praying WMR updates Saturday. But did they send you a letter of any kind saying it would be 8-10 weeks?

No they haven't sent me anything.

They sent us one in the 18th and said they didn't need anything additional at this point. Wait 8-10 weeks for a paper check if nit recieved by 5/25 call the number on the letter but NOT before the time period instructed.  
Idk I just know I won't do that again!

@lovelyjneira @remijj17  mine rejected on 02/27 sent back 02/28 received letter 3/18 was told 10 weeks from
the date of letter I should receive it

@lovelyjneira they told me the same thing before I received the letter. It would 5 weeks from the time the dd was received from the IRS. She also instructed me that the letter was already written but we wouldn't receive it until 3/18. I spoke to this person on 3/7 at IRS. Also said if I hadn't received my check by 4/3 to call back but I was told so many different things from so many different ppl I just don't know what to think or do except wait....

@humbleone2019 yes I received that same letter and was instructed that if the IRS took longer than the time frame instructed they would have to pay interest on the return for holding it too long... If there is no proof of it being fraudulent and you don't owe them an offset then they have no other legitiment reason to hold it therefore owing interest if kept passed the instructed time frame.

The IRS basically doesn't want you calling in to them every day or every other day for an update. That's why they give such a long wait time basically to cover their own butts..

Yea i was told so many different stuff i just hope i get it sometime next month. And i dnt understand why hold on to it that long either smh they do to much

@lovelyjneira you're absolutely right. Idk either but it's ridiculous that they get to pick and choose whoms and when they get their checks. I've seen comments of ppl getting theirs 3/15 and dd was same as ours.

Original DDD was 2/27. Bank rejected refund on 2/25 because my name wasn't on the account with my husbands. Received letter stating 8-10 week wait on March 18th. Our 10 week wait was over on May 27th. Called the IRS on May 30th and the guy I spoke with said he was releasing our refund and to expect it in 3-4 weeks. WMR still hasn't updated after a week now so I'm hoping he was correct. Could anyone shed some light on how long it took y'all to actually receive your refund after they released it?
