Why Refund Delay?.

I transmitted return on March 13.  It's now 5 weeks + 2 days.  Return was uncomplicated except for explaining timing of estimated tax payments.  I can't get reason for delay from IRS, just generic "return received is being reviewed".

Only the IRS can tell you, as they do not advise TT.  Probably just the usual backlog.
