I receieved letter from irs letter 4883c . verify identity. i called and all went good. now they say up to 9 weeks before i get return ?

I validated my identity on 3- 21 and still no update but it's changed to we have received your return and it's being processed also got an email from TurboTax saying they want their money

Why is Saturday the day it changes? I thought status could change anyday. Last year mine changed early morning Thursday.

You made me feel soooo much better. My timeline so far:
IRS 1040A form submitted on Feb 13, electronically, direct deposit.
By the following week, status updated from "Received" to "Processing, no return date"
Called IRS hotline on March 6 (21 days since filing), no information other than that I will receive a letter I have to call on.
Received 4883C letter on March 10
Called IRS on March 10 - verified identity successfully.
As of March 11 (Saturday, I know!) the bars aren't up yet, but as I read your post I see that the process is not immediate, so I feel a heck of a lot better!

I called probably everyday last week and from what the last rep told me on Friday was that after we ID verify, it takes the return approximately 9 weeks to make it out of that department because when we go into ID verification it knocks it out of regular processing but from his post alone I've read people getting theirs no later than two weeks. The people still waiting give me hope though, I mean we have to get it at some point. Right?

Oh and I too got the TurboTax email that they wanted their money lol but literally a few days later I got the "congratulations on filing your taxes, here are the services you paid for" so I don't understand what's going on right now

Mine updated today. Return accepted, refund direct deposit date is Wednesday. Long wait but worth it

What has been the longest wait after verifying identify, I originally filed jan 19 received letter 4883 C march 17 verified the 17 and still no bars it's been 7 days!

I filed and was accepted 19th of January. Verified Feb 6th and I still have nothing. I called irs and they said I would have by 10th of April.
