The IRS doesn't share your information with us. Compare your filed income tax return versus what the IRS calculated to identify what changes they made.
If the calculation change is related to the Recovery Rebate Credit, see IRS information letters about Economic Impact Payments and the Recovery Rebate Credit.
Otherwise, see Understanding Your IRS Notice or Letter.
The issue isn't the tax calculations because the IRS stated they matched the calculations. It is in the calculation of the refund. The difference is $1,790 that Turbo Tax calculated higher than the IRS. What form can I look at that calculated the refund?
The refund is calculated based on what you entered. If the IRS is changing the refund amount, then their calculation doesn't match what was reported on TurboTax. There isn't just one form. You have to look at your form 1040, Schedule 1, Schedule 2, or Schedule 3, to see what is on your return and what was changed. Perhaps a credit was reduced or disallowed.
Solved it. It was a misunderstanding of the 1st quarter Payment. I included the refund amount applied to last year.
