Why did my refund amount decrease from the accepted amount of my return?

When my tax return was accepted I was shown the final amount of my return, now that the IRS has processed my return they are refunding me less than the original amount and nothing special has changed with my returns.

Why did my refund amount decrease from the accepted amount of my return?

First,  Accepted just means that your filing was received for processing.  The IRS can still adjust or offset your refund.  Wait for a letter from them.  They do not notify TT, but they may have adjusted your Recovery Rebate Credit.

From what I'm seeing on my return and what I'm understanding is they have basically deducted the stimulus we received last year, would this be a correct assumption?
