Why did I get a deposit from TPG Products for less than half of my return?

If the IRS adjusted your refund they will mail you a letter in a couple weeks.

The 2 most common reasons this year is you entered the wrong amount on line 30 for the Recovery Rebate Credit (3rd Stimulus payment) or line 28 for the Child Tax Credit.  Those lines are just if you didn't already get the full amount or qualify for more.  The IRS knows what they already sent you.  

A lot of people answered the questions wrong and tried to claim the credits again.  Double check your bank statements and Check your IRS account (both accounts if married)

1) how much of a refund were you expecting?

2) what was the actual refund?

3) what is on Line 28 of your Form 1040?

4) what is on Line 30 of your Form 1040? 

post back as that information can explain what happened.

@Willisj20 Line 28 is more than $18K?   How many children under the age of 17 did you claim as dependents?  Did you receive any advance child tax credit payments between July and December last year?   Do not go by memory---check your bank account for deposits made around the 15th of each month for those months.

I only have a 1040 form all together

My refund was 1,644$ after IRS took out in now it's$ 490.17 my refund wasn't poster deposit here

@cpso No one knows that.  We cannot see your state return and we certainly have no access to your bank account.   You have to check your own bank account.
