Where’s my refund?

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer. Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS.

To track your Federal refund:

https://www.irs.gov/refunds

Here is the general timeline of e-filed returns:

Transmission > Acceptance > Processing > Approval > Refund.

After acceptance, but before processing the status may not be available. If you contact the government or try look up your refund status while your return is still pending, don't be surprised if they tell you "no record found." This is normal; until the government starts reviewing and processing your return, they won't have any record of it.

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

Where’s my refund?

The IRS sent my refund and said it was deposited to Routing number [number removed] and Account number [number removed]1259

and that after you take your price that you charge out it will be deposited to my account and I was wondering how long will it be before you send it to my account

Where’s my refund?

If you requested to have the TurboTax account fees deducted from your federal tax refund, the IRS will send the refund to a third party processor to have the fees and the service charge deducted. The third party processor will deduct the TurboTax fees plus the service charge and then attempt to direct deposit the remaining refund balance into the account that you entered on your tax return.

For the status of your tax refund you will need to contact the third party processor, Santa Barbara Tax Product Group, using their website - https://www.sbtpg.com/
