When you amend a return do you just enter the correct information or do you need to complete the entire form again?

When amending a return, you only need to enter the information that needs to be corrected, not the whole return. Before amending the return, however, I suggest you make sure you have a printed copy or saved PDF copy of the original return.  If you just recently filed your return, you'll need to wait until IRS either accepts or rejects it before filing the amended return.
