What if I missed this year using Turbo Tax and plan to use next year, can I add the previous year data so I can get comparisons?

No.   When you begin your 2023 tax return  next year, you cannot transfer any year other than 2022 into the return.  You cannot transfer the tax file or data from 2021 or any earlier year in to the new return.

You could enter the 22 return that you filed elsewhere in the current online program. You don't have to pay for it or file it for the information to be transferred into the 2023 program next year.ff

So will the system let me enter information now for 2022 without filing.  Or, do I need to wait until I start my 2023 return in Turbo Tax?

I just need to enter my information for 2022.  I have eight other years prior to that already in the system.

Yes, online is only for 2022 until Oct. 16, 2023.  Sure go ahead and enter 2022.  You don't have to pay unless you want to print it.  Just do not file it.  Hopefully it will match the return you filed.
