What happens when there is a program update affecting your return after you file?

The TurboTax Windows product continually has updates to apply throughout the tax filing season.  I check it weekly.  I almost always get a prompt to download new updates.

I filed my return in March.  What happens if a later program update to a form or a bug fix would have affected my return?  Does the TurboTax program check this?  Would it display a message that I have to amend my filing?
