Nothing "happens." If your return was e-filed by the deadline, it was filed on time --- even if it takes a day or two to be accepted. Watch your emails.
When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first one will say that your return was submitted. The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected. If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.
You should see an update soon.
If it's accepted, you're fine -- you filed before the filing deadline.
If your return is rejected, don't worry -- there's a five-day grace period to re-submit with any needed corrections.
See the TurboTax Help article What if I e-filed on time but my return got rejected after the filing deadline? for more information. (Note that the tax year 2023 deadline is April 15, 2024.)
If you need to file an extension, see the TurboTax article How do I file an IRS tax extension? for guidance.
