What happens if I entered the wrong document number?

Turbo accepted the number but I realized it was not the ID USA number. Will my tax returns be rejected & I'll have to resubmit?

It might be. If it is you will be able to log back into your return and correct it. You will know fairly quickly if it is rejected. If the IRS and/or your state sends you a letter about the ID number, they will also provide instructions with what is needed to be done to correct it.
