To view your Tax Summary, log into your account. On the Menu click on Tax Tools then Tools. Under Other helpful links, click on View Tax Summary. You can also print and view your documents if you have filed already.
I do not see any such menu. the only options I see on the left side when I log in is: Tax Home, Documents and Tax Estimator, Credit Karma and Mint, then down at the bottom shows Intuit Account and sign out. The only other menu is at the top and that shows only search and help. I have completed my filing and printed my documents, but that summary was missing this year, it always printed automatically as the first page, plus the other comparison report printed automatically within the document. Neither were there this year. Let's try again, thank you.
Did you already file your return and now want to view the summary?
yes, I want to view both the cover sheet that shows the effective tax rate and the Tax History Report as indicated in my original question. They have always printed when I have downloaded and printed my returns, but they are not there this year. thank you.
After a return has been efiled and accepted, it can sometimes take a return PDF a while to update and become available at the Tax Home. If you can't use the Download/print button at the Tax Home or the "Download/print the PDF" link in the section "Your Tax Returns & Documents", or if you're getting incomplete documents when you use one of those methods, here's an alternate way to print by opening the filed return back up to print at the Print Center.
NOTE: When you open your return back up, do not make any changes in it if it's already been filed. If you later have to amend the return, it has to start off exactly as it was when it was originally filed.
NOTE: Remember all PDF tax documents and tax data files are very sensitive files, since they contain your personal ID info, financial data, and possibly bank account numbers, etc. Be sure to store them safely and securely to guard against computer theft, hacking, etc.
This worked, thank you! Strange though I have always printed immediately after filing and those pages have always been there. I likely will have to ask this again next time if it doesn't print, as I could find no mention of these pages in the search. thank you.
Actually you should save the PDF BEFORE you file ... the option to do so is part of the FILE tab so make sure you take advantage to save both the PDF of the return and a PDF of the return with the worksheets for your records.
