How to fix audit

i have an audit by mail, they want me to send in alot of supporting documents but when I spoke to a turbo tax representative we were able to figure out what was entered correctly and fixed it.  I printed my amended return but never sent it out because I was waiting for more documentation from the IRS on what to do next.  Can I just send in amended return from turbo tax or do I have to send in all the supporting documents they are requesting?

You can't send in the amended return "from TurboTax" as amended returns need to be filed on paper.  They cannot be e-filed.

I would not just mail in the amended return, as it is likely it would never timely get associated with the IRS notice.  If the time to reply to the IRS notice has not expired, you should reply specifically to the notice and include the amended return as an attachment to explain your position.
