What does "Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available." Exactly mean?

Look the IRS won't process my return because they need proof that I am me. I have the e-mail Turo tax sent me but do not have an e- mail adderess to send it to them and they won't answer the phone, can you help with that?

So the IRS assigned me a pin but never mailed it is what they tell me, They wouldn't send me a new one because I moved to a new address and didn't live where I last filed. So I had no choice but to mail mines in Feb and we all know the stimulious check are based on this. Ohio unemployment is weeks behind if you can even get on the phone and or file because millions calling in! I've been off for weeks now about 8 with no income at all. These people our government officials we trust with our lives have simply left us for dead. Theres no other way to suger coat it. So what do people who have worked and paid taxes get NOTHING! 

I know drug addicts who haven't worked since the 90s own nothing and don't have a single bill but yet they got they check and can't wait til the next one comes to spend right with the dopeman!

Yep people are getting desperate enough to do anything. People becareful my buddy was on the news yesterday someone kidnapped him and held him for a 20k ransom in Cleveland. 

If nothing happen soon it's going to get much whose because proverty can push people over the edge!

I file my tax on March 20th with TurboTax. I received my state taxs a week later but whenever I try to find out the status of my federal taxes in says  that it is still  processing my refund. I have not file taxes in a long time using this software but I was able to receive my stimulus check last week and I just process my 2018 taxes. TurboTax was very adamant about receiving their payment since IRS hadn't processed my taxes. They didn't want to wait like we agreed to take payment  as a deduction from my taxes whenever I did them   Therefore they wanted to get paid their fees now.I hope that when the IRS process my taxes they're not expecting to get double since I've already paid them their fees. In other words received payment from me through my bank account then have the IRS send them another payment. .. I don't think so. 

I have been trying to contact IRS to get a live person but it's always giving me the automated or telling me that there is no live person available at this time. I know everyone is on hard time because of the pandemic but I would hope that the government know that we need our tax return money in order just stay afloat. If someone has another contact number for the IRS to a live rep I would greatly appreciate it.

They can get on the IRS website and click on the link non files. They can file for the stimulus that way.

I'm in the exact same situation that you are and not getting answers is so frustrating. I did however, got a response from my state within 24 hrs but still nothing from the stimulus or federal tax return.

Hey I'm going thru the same issue where I have to prove I am me. So have u gotten any info and do u kno if we will still get our stimulus because of it.

I am having the same issues with my tax refund and stimulus check. Irs website says my refund is still being processed. I sent it in Feb. 4, no stimulus check either. I didn't file in 2018 so there's nothing for the irs to go off of.

I haven't gotten my federal return either. I didnt file the last few years, so I had to prove my identity. I did that and the IRS said it could take up to 9 weeks. That was in Feb. Then the virus crap hit. Now says that they are still processing my return. No stimulus check. When I use the get my check tool it says my information doesn't match the system. When I tried it as a non-filer it says my taxes have been excepted lol. So I have wait until I can talk to someone on the phone. It is frustrating. With the Grace of God I'll make it. Turbo tax took there payment straight from my account instead of waiting. First and probably last time I use this service.

the last Friday I've called my local IRS advocate out of Cleveland when you call you have to leave a message and they will call you back within 3 days and they called me back today they looked at my 2019 taxes that are still being processed and she said that it appears there was an error on my taxes or since I have not done my taxes but one time in The last 5 years that could be the reason why it is still being processed, they will assign you a case manager who call the IRS directly and will figure out what is going on and get my taxes completely processed so I can get my refund and my stimulus check. So today is Tuesday my assigned case worker for the IRS advocate is going to call me by Friday to get the ball rolling. So I finally have some hope here I hope that helps you out
