Hey so this is my first time filling taxes, how long does it usually take to get your return back? It’s been a month at this point and I didn’t know if that was normal or not.

Most Federal tax refunds are issued within 21 days; however, it's possible your return may require additional review and take longer to process (which is normal).

If it has been pass 21 days since your return have been accepted, then you may also call the IRS customer service at 1-800-829-1040 to inquire the status of your tax return.

If it gets to be more than 8 weeks, you can contact the taxpayer advocate. https://www.irs.gov/advocate
