What are the refund amounts showing on my TurboTax homescreen different than the amounts on the returns I prepared with TurboTax and mailed to the IRS?

The most accurate information can only be found at Where's my Refund, however the IRS does ask that you wait 4 after mailing before you begin checking that site.  To protect the public and employees, and in compliance with orders of local health authorities around the country, certain IRS services such as live assistance on telephones, processing paper tax returns and responding to correspondence are extremely limited or suspended until further notice. 

A difference in what you see for your Federal Refund and what TurboTax shows for your total tax refund, could be the state taxes that you owe.  Here's an example:

Federal tax refund   $2000

State Tax owed        -$150

Total Tax Refund    $1850
