1541 is an internal IRS code that means 'delayed'. There were delays in processing this tax season due to additional verification for those with the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and the Additional Child Care Credit (ACTC).

Now that the status of your return has changed to processing, you can begin to count down the days to your refund. It may be helpful to note the day your return first appeared as processing. If you still have not received your refund 21 days after that date, I would recommend contacting the IRS at the number on their Where's-My-Refund website to check on the status of your refund. I hope this helps.
