USPS tracking for ITIN shows delivered to 73301 instead of 78714?

I applied for ITIN (filed taxes with W7 for my wife) on March 4th. 

It has been more than 7 weeks now and I have not received any correspondence from the IRS. 

I sent out the package by register mail to the address on W7 form ( Austin, TX 78714 ), however, the USPS tracking result says it is delivered to Austin, TX 73301. Did USPS screw it up or that is where it supposed to go?

Does anybody has tracked their w7 package to the same delivery address? Please help.

It depends.

Both locations are there but the 78714 zip code is for W-7 applications for an ITIN while the 73301 zip code is for a W-7A application for an Adoption ITIN.

Do you think they will reroute internally if it lands in the wrong department? I am pretty sure I had the right address on it and It was a W7 application.

Did you finally get your ITIN ? In my case too, USPS has delivered the mail to 73301 address. Wondering if I should mail in the application again ITIN processing address. Thanks!

Was it resolved internally by IRS. Or did you have to resend the W7 form to the right address again? If it was resolved how much time did it take?

I am also facing same. my package also delivered to Austin, TX 73301. instead of Austin, TX 78714
