If you have already filed, you can't make changes to your return. You can start an amendment to see what the effect of the unemployment exclusion is on your filed tax return. But the IRS has recommended to taxpayers not to file an amended return at this time. They are deciding if they will adjust the returns that have already been filed by taxpayers who paid taxes on the UE income OR to have taxpayers amend their tax returns to collect the taxes already paid. You can use this link found here to sign up to receive an email when we receive that information from the IRS.
If you do go in and start an amendment to see the tax changes involved, make sure you cancel the amendment - don't file it.
You said you received unemployment and that you have already filed. You did enter your unemployment income from Form 1099-G before you filed, right? If so, the government (and TurboTax) knows you received unemployment income. When the software update is fully implemented in TurboTax, the new tax data will show.
