I have all the buttons mentioned above. When I click on them, I get a notification window that says it will take 2-3 min to print. After a minute or two, I get a beep and NOTHING! No "Print" button is working anywhere in Turbo Tax deluxe 2024 for me on my Mac. Please help!
Hi njsh,
I have the Premier Mac desk-top version and am not sure whether it will work for your Deluxe version, but you can try the following.
When you get to the "Print Returns" at "Save for Your Records" screen, you can click "File" located at all the way top left hand corner of your computer screen (not the "File" on the TurboTax screen.) Then you can scroll down to "Save as PDF" to print.
Hope it works now. If not, you may need to contact the TurboTax support.
I had to do what you describe just last night after I could not "print to file" or "print for your records". Intuit has STILL not fixed this major defect. Or perhaps they are trying to extract more $ for the state electronic filing fee? Either way, it is inexcusable for Intuit to release a product with such an obvious defect and then refuse to either acknowledge it or fix it.
Shame on them. Next year it's HR Block for me.
I was having the same issue of trying to save to PDF and print my returns. After many trial and errors I decided to try saving the return to my "Desktop" instead of "Documents" on my MAC. The file saved to my Desktop and I was able to save as a PDF and to print the documents.

When I create a pdf file to save or print the 2025 CA state return, the first ~6 pages are fine but the remaining several pages are blank. Any ideas?
What version of TurboTax are you using, and what type of operating system (WIN or Mac)?
If you are using a Desktop version, you can choose File from the top menu then Print, and you are provided with options to save to a PDF, or create a Print Preview version. You can choose to print just the return, with schedules, or include all of the worksheets.
The first few pages in the California return package will be the filing instructions, and ES vouchers if you created them. The Form 540 itself is 6 pages long without the schedules and worksheets.
To print an individual worksheet from your return in TurboTax Online, before you file but after you pay for your product, you can go to Tax Tools, then Print Center. Choose to print all forms and worksheets, and save to PDF. You can then open the PDF and choose what worksheet to print. Or, you can use your device's Print Screen function.
To print your tax return worksheets and schedules after you file, please follow these instructions:

Thank you! This worked!!!!!
Nope. Adobe will on offer to save even though I hit the print icon. And the file that it saves is a print preview not the final. My returns have been accepted.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/
Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents. Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)
Or -
When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.
This will take you back to the 2024 online tax return.
Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Then click on Print Center. Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return. Choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets
If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created. TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.
I’m trying to print from my Mac too! Same issue. Has anyone solved this?
Scroll up and read the post in this thread 2 weeks ago from Norit. It works.
The Mac issue with printing to PDF (which didn't affect all Mac users) was reported fixed on March 20th. Make sure you have run the latest updates. See this help article for more information.
