I already filed my 2024 federal and state returns through TurboTax. Both were e-filed originally and have since been accepted and paid.
I amended that approved return, however, when I finalize and try to file it shows I cannot e-file my federal return again, only my state has the option.
My research indicates I should be able to e-file an amended federal return as well.

Another note, when I got to the File tab and try to select e-file I get a note. I have e-filed (and accepted) a 1040 through TurboTax that I'm trying to amend.
"It looks like you've prepared a federal amended return from 1040X
It also looks like you haven't e-filed the 1040 through TurboTax
To e-file the 10400X through TurboTax, you must e-file the 1040 through TurboTax.
What you can do is to print and file the 1040X by mail."
Since your Amended return does not 'catch up' to your original return and correct it, there's no rush to file your Amended Return. It actually can take up to 20 weeks for the IRS to process an amended return.
If you're using TurboTax Online, clear your Cache and Cookies and try efiling again. Although some amended returns can be efiled, not all of them can.
Here's how to do a Manual Update if you're using TurboTax Desktop.
If you open your original return again and go through the FILE section, does it indicate Efile for your Federal return?
