Unable to Amend return for business expense

I just saw received a rejection of my 2020 taxes that was e-filed.

Seems I made an error by putting an amount in the Self-employed Health Insurance line when I actually got my insurance through the marketplace this year and it was covered under personal.

Should be a simple fix, but Turbotax will not allow me to address the specific problem in my return to re-file it.

How do I navigate TT to accomplish this?

Since your return was rejected by IRS,  it has never been accepted.  You would not amend a return that has not been accepted by IRS.  You just open it, correct it, and refile it.

Therefore, all you need to do to correct it is reload it, correct the error to fix it and then get it ready to be e-filed again.

Turns out TT is not even allowing me to edit the return.  What is wrong with this software?

Are you able to get back into the return? Were you able to select amendment.

First, make sure you really need to amend and that your 2020 return was accepted in TurboTax Online or paper-filed through the mail. You can't amend a return that hasn't been filed yet.
