I filed an amendment last year online and never sent in a hard copy. How do if I know if the amendment was updated for the IRS?

TurboTax does not receive IRS updates regarding the status of amends but you can check using the IRS Lookup Tool. 

Federal Amendments (1040x forms) cannot be E-filed. They must be mailed to the IRS. To do this you would have to print out the hard copy to mail in and kept a copy for yourself.
