I completed both the Federal return, 1120S and the Illinois. I closed out and saved as I had been for a few days. I went back about 3 days later to print and e-file. When I opened turbotax it had an update. I have since not been able to open the return. I have uninstalled and reinstall multiple times. A couple time without allowing an update and I still receive the same error. A couple times installing the updates first and I receive the same error. It allowed me to start a fake return but it will not allow me to open my completed files. I have spent HOURS on the phone with technical help and have gotten nowhere. With the state, without the state, I receive the same error "Some formsets are no present on this machine. Please install all formsets. ERROR 190."
I NEED to file these. I completed both and have the IL K-1 in a PDF. But I need the entire thing. There were no errors or problems before the last update it did on 8/22/25

After you started the fake return did you go to the state tab and download the state program? Also check for any Windows system updates. Those have been known to affect it.
After you get the program installed or reinstalled the first thing to do before you open your tax return is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE - NEW). Enter some basic information, then go to the state tab and download the state program. Then try to open your existing return, go to FILE - OPEN
