I paid for turbo tax state, but am finding out I have to send a paper snail mail return. How do I get my money back from Turbo Tax? Only $25, but it isn't working and I'm doing paper filing...

Once payment has been received, the product is considered to have been used to prepare your taxes, regardless of whether you print or electronically file your return, or if it's rejected.
Did you choose to e-file your federal first? If so, you'll have to wait until that return has been accepted before you can e-file your state. Once your federal return has been accepted you should be able to e-file your state return.
To e-file your return:
My e-file was rejected, even though my transcript matches the IRS. So I saw someone said to place a zero, and that didn't work either. Thank you for your help Lena, but this is my last year using turbo tax. Been using it for years too...
I mean I pulled my IRS transcript, and that was the figure I used to e-file federal and state. State was rejected because the Fed was rejected. No clue why, so I'll send them by snail mail, just send it certified. The amount of time wasted this year...better off paying someone else or using a different software...
