Hello All:
I filed my 2024 Return on 2/3/2025. I am self employed. I entered $1,676 of income as general income on Schedule C (no 1099-NEC was expected from this client). I received the same amount ($1,676) on a 1099-NEC from the client after filing my taxes.
So, wages, Income amount is correct. Should I amend my return to reclassify from general income on Schedule C to show as 1099-NEC?
Thanks for input.

No, you do not need to amend your return since the income has already been reported without the Form 1099-NEC. Just keep the Form 1099-NEC with your tax records.
The most important thing is that the income was reported accurately, and in fact, the Schedule C filed with the IRS does not distinguish the source of the income. It is all reported together.
TurboTax breaks the income down into categories so that users can be sure that all their bases have been covered with respect to their income sources.
