What is reference code 9001 on the where's my refund site?

In order for them to see that you have been randomly selected they have to decode a lot of codes on your account to see it ... All of em won't take the time to do that for you

No. Even when you call the identity verification number while waiting they will keep giving you the website to encourage you to do it there instead so that they don't have to sit on the phone with you

And if it allowed you to do it online then that was at least a part of the problem because otherwise it wouldn't let you do it.

I called they told me the same thing when I called to verify my identity the rep told me I have to wait 21 days from the date my return was accepted before they can do anything tried to do it online and it wouldn't let me

Did you just call the irs or the actual identity verification line ?

A lot of people were able to do this as soon as their bars went away ... 7-9 days after filling .. So all I can say is call back and get a different rep

Then maybe your problem is different.. Call back and try again and if you can't do it then I guess in your case your goin to have to just wait the 21 days

My bars went away 2 weeks ago I called and verified my identity on Thursday and mine came back up this morning saying it would be deposited this week coming. I had the code 9001 for all that time until today.. The man said it would take up to 9 weeks but that was the time frame they had to give..

Did they send you a letter saying you beed to verify or did you just verify anyways
