The IRS approved my return, why doesn't turbotax show this?
The IRS will only inform TurboTax of the acceptance or rejection of your return. After that, the IRS does not give status updates to TurboTax and only you can get that information. At the end of the day, TurboTax is a software provider and facilitator of electronic filing, you are the preparer of your return and TurboTax has no signatory power over your return so releasing that type of information would be a violation of privacy laws by the IRS.
