My wife's bank denied my refund deposit, do I need to do anything or will the irs issue a check without me doing anything?

The IRS will automatically issue a paper check if the refund was denied.

It can take up to 5 days for the IRS to receive the funds back, then they will mail the check which should take about 10 business days for you to receive it.
