The electronic filing amount for my refund through TurboTax is different than on line 34 of my 1040. I havent gotten my refund 7 weeks later and when I went to look at wheres my refund the amount I had to enter was from the efiling summary not my 1040 - h

Thanks for the reply - except there has been no direct deposit - the refund is being held up because the amount from line 34 does not match the refund amount electronically submitted and thus the refund has been held up - for 7 weeks now. Just trying to figure out where TurboTax pulled the electronically submitted refund amount because that is the refund amount I have to use when asking where is my refund - instead of the amount from the TurboTax generated 1040 line 34. I would have thought that those two amounts would have been the same and now I need to figure out how to fix it.

Still hoping for a reply - surely I am not the only person who completed my taxes through TurboTax whose electronic refund request amount was different than the refund amount on line 34 amd that "glith" is holding up my refund at the IRS by 8 weeks now. I need to figure out what happened and how to fix it so I can reconcile those numbers and then amend my taxes to get the refund released - please help

You need to wait to get your refund to see what is actually deposited.  If there are changes from your filed return you will get a letter/notification explaining those changes. If you disagree with those changes the notice will explain how to respond.

Filing an amendment will not speed up the process.  Your original return has to complete and any amendments will not be processed for at least 6 weeks.
