I receieved letter from irs letter 4883c . verify identity. i called and all went good. now they say up to 9 weeks before i get return ?

Yes they are gonna want the control number on the letter

I got the letter and verified today. they only asked about my prior year return and my personal info. You will need the letter for it has the control number for your specific case. After reading you guys comments I am more hopeful that I'll receive it sooner than 9 weeks.

I received my letter yesterday, I hope it does not take a long time to receive it as well! I was told 9 weeks too, but the guy also stated it could be before then

As like many others who have received this letter, i to had this happen.  I received my letter on feb 13th and id verified at my local office on the 14th. Checked my irs app today and bars reappeared today (4days later) my refund was approved and will be sent by the 23rd. (Total of 9 days). I watched this conversation since febuary 12th and it gave me hope. Thanks for sharing everyone. I return the favor by sharing my 4883c experiance. I hope my story helps. Glad it was not 9 weeks like agent said.

Same here verified over the phone 13th of this month also the day I got the letter. Checked wmr and refund sent DDD 2/23  I can stop having panic attacks now

Finally this morning, got my bars back and an approved ddd for 2/23 (I completed the ID verified on 2/6). So glad it did not It take the 9 weeks after I ID verified like the IRS. Said! I did not have any of the EIC or actc credits.

My bars are gone it's says my refund is still being processed a refund date will be provided when available. Anyone know what this means?

@meek0904 so after you verified your identity did you receive any other letters from the irs cuz I  got one and it says as of now there is nothing more to do it may take up to 60 days to get your return
