We already filed our 2018 taxes. We also started a business in 2018 however we have no income from it in 2018 so I did not think we could write off the business expenses. I have found out that we can. How do I amend my return to a business return. My turbo tax was downloaded off a CD not the internet. If I purchase the business addition can I import my original 2018 taxes and file an amended version? Will I be able to import my taxes and file an amendment when I didn't use business to start with?

What type of organization is your business: sole proprietorship? partnership? qualified joint venture? single-member LLC? multi-member LLC? S corporation? C corporation?
Who are "we"? Is there more than one owner of the business? If so, who are the owners? If the only owners are two people who are married to each other, what state are you in?
What edition of TurboTax do you have: Basic, Deluxe, or Premier?
I'm taking your word for it that you can deduct expenses for your new business. You cannot deduct expenses if the business was not in active operation. With no business income at all, the IRS might question whether your business was active.
I need to file my 2018 taxes. I started them but never filed. I have a multi member LLc. How do I get the 2018 business edition of turbotax? I was using the 2018 home & business amedment software, but it said I needed the business edition.
Yes, to file a 2018 tax return for a multi-member LLC, you will need to use the 2018 version of TurboTax Business.
Here is a link to access the product page where you can select to purchase the 2018 TurboTax Business version: TurboTax Prior Year Products
