What is code 576. Not 570 but 576 dated 04/04. I got part of my refund but the other part has code 576. Will I get that later?
From the IRS: https://www.google.com/search?q=irs+code+576&sxsrf=APq-WBuD2_vZhZwbKcWP_DfO56AvI7iBNA%3A164764062414...
576 Unallowable Tax Hold
Holds the Unallowable Tax to the extent of the Credit Balance in suspense. Freezes the amount of the TC 576 from refund and offset out.
Code 576 is a tax hold ( of some kind for any reason) ... the future date is an estimate of when the issue could be dealt with and then a code 577 would replace it. There is nothing you can do about this but wait for the IRS to complete the process.
So is it possible for that code to change and I still get that part of my refund?
Can you let me know what code 766/768 mean with a date of 4/15/22 than a code of 570 04/04/21 am I getting my refund or they are going to keep holding it
my transcript says 766/768 with a date of 04/15/22
thqn has code 570 additional account action pending 04/04/22 am I going to get a refund is that the date it will released I called no answers at all
Look at your return ... don't those amounts look familiar ?
Code 766 indicates a credit to your account (generally, a refund - but it can be a credit toward taxes in a prior year, if you have those).
Code 768 indicates an earned income credit amount.
And code 570 means a hold for a variety of reasons :

Yes they look familiar at the top of my transcript it show a negative sign with the refund amount but I don’t owe any taxes for any prior or current years I had to verify my return when I first filed that’s it
@Msgreen25 I have the same problem but nothing has changed for me, no refund. Do you have an update? Have you received your refund?
You can check the IRS website Where's My Refund for your federal information.
If you have a state refund, visit the How do I track my state refund page, and then select your state. @phill11
No refund yet I got a letter it’s dated for the 11 and days they choose my refund to verify income and credits it’s going to up to 60 days from the dated letter it may be sooner and there is nothing I have to do at this time call after it’s been 60 days or no refund deposit in that time frame
Yeah I had code 570 then got code 971. I filed in February its April now and I still have not received my refund. I was however sent a letter stating my taxes are on hold, but no information as to why its on hold. Its extremely frustrating.
