I’m in the same boat. Money sent out on the 5th and the 3rd party bank says it hasn’t received it yet.
The worry and frustration is that I have been using TurboTax for several years (and have always paid with refund) and have never waited this long between when the IRS sent the money and I actually received it.
I’m concerned TurboTax doesn’t know what’s going on with there 3rd party bank. Does anyone from TurboTax monitor this?
I’m in the same boat and pissed! I have used Turbo Tax for several years also and have never had this problem. Seems like something shady is going on with this 3rd party bank. Never again will I use Turbo Tax if this is the kind of company they are doing business with.
I have used TurboTax for years and have not had any major issues. SBTG has never held any money from me. Whenever the IRS said it released the funds, it goes to SBTG. I have always been able to check through the SBTG tool and see when they receive the funds from the IRS. A day or so later, it would be in my account. I understand the frustration levels are high. If I didn't see my money in my account, I would be upset as well.
Is everyone calling SBTG to get the information? Does their online tool show they have received the funds? I am curious because I still only have the one bar on WMR tool. I am expecting that to change next week but who knows. I have heard that the IRS only updates the WMR tool on Wednesdays. As a matter of fact, last year the WMR tool stayed on one bar until a few days AFTER my direct deposit hit my account. I can't hold TurboTax responsible for any of this. All they do is submit the e-file. I don't even use their tracking tool because any information they have I will already know.
What I am really curious about is if the WMR tool is reporting correct information. I wonder if it says Feb 5 as a DDD but it is in reality not correct and should be Feb 10 or something. The IRS used to only issue Direct Deposits on one day and hard checks on another. I thought the Direct Deposit days we early in the week like Monday or Tuesday. I could be mistaken, though.
I hope everyone's deposits go through soon. Again, I know how frustrating it can be to need that money to clear. I hope mine goes through soon too. Good luck everyone! Keep posting any updates. They always seem to help.
I pulled my IRS transcript and it confirmed refund 2/5
You can't get a live person on the phone at SBGT. Automated system says they have not recieved my refund. I emailed them again this morning and I got no reply
I won't be using TurboTax again. So this santa Barbara Bank has our money to take out a 120 fee. I foolishly paid TurboTax 120 to file an line on my 1040, then told them to take the fees out of my refund. This is very negligent. This third party can't tell you why they are holding money. They just are. Will not be filing with this company again.
Everyone should email Santa Barbara. Maybe if enough people email them they will do something about it. I just got a reply from them. They still claim they have not recieved anything. But did say the situation is escalating and they are investigating
Good idea!
I just sent an email to the 3rd party bank explaining the situation.
I am in the exact same boat! My bf got his return on the 5th and he used the 3rd party bank as well so I am very disturbed as to where my refund is. I am going to email this bank as well!
Same
I just checked the 3rd party website and now they show received... now just waiting for the deposit to head to my account. Maybe the email worked.
SAME here!!!! I emailed as well and NOW it shows on the 3rd party site that it was received today but still waiting for them to process or send to my bank...
Of course they send it out at 6PM on a Friday evening so I probably won’t get it until Monday because that’s how banks work...
Has anyone received there refund yet?
Nope not yet...was really hoping it would hit this morning but I suppose Monday is looking like the day (hopefully).
