I have have filed my taxes and it was accepted on 1/27/20. I received my state refund via debit card which is linked to my bank account. on 1/31/20. It is 2/5/19 and I am still waiting for my federal refund. How long does this take to be completed?

My refund was supposed to be sent to my bank today. I also filed on the 27th but I haven’t received anything yet.

same exact scenario for me. Although I did read same question for last year and some answers stated that if you paid for your filing with tax refund it takes an extra day?  If anyone gets any updates please let me know.

If you claimed the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) this could be why you're seeing a delay.  Please see Some 2019 federal refunds are delayed due to the PATH Act for more information.

Accepted on Jan 27th. Nothing special and no earned income tax or children. Basic return. Still has not been approved or gotten to the middle bar on where's my refund. No state I'm in Florida. I heard around online that it would be done by this Friday Feb 7th. Has anyone from the 27th been paid federal yet?

No not yet and my status is still reading the same accepted.... Same on Irs.gov. The status bar is not moving its been the same since January. 27th

I'd also like to know why the status bar in Turbo Tax hasn't updated since my return was accepted. The IRS has processed and approved and sent my refund.

Last year my federal return was sent 8 days after my state return. The year before that it was 9 days. And the year before that it was 8 days.

So there's obviously a consistency. I received my state refund this year on February 5th so my federal return should be direct deposited on or around February 12th or 13th.

I'm right there with you and everyone else. It's strange cause someone I know also used Turbotax but paid 80.00 (for fed. And state) he got both in one day last week. The strange thing is I file on Jan 23 you would figure after they accepted it on or after th 27th I would get my Fed. But I only got my state last Friday.

@Sgarza

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2021 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

https://www.irs.gov/refunds

To track your state refund:

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.
