Tax Payments

I've filed, and the IRS says that my total tax payments are lower than the total shown on my Turbotax return.  How can I get a list of all the tax payments that Turbotax included in its total?  I have a number of income sources that withhold taxes, so I think the IRS may have missed one or two.

Thanks

OK...so you've indicated that you are using the "Desktop" H&B software, on Windows.

Thus...

1)  open your tax return for 2023

2) Switch to "Forms" mode  (selection in upper right side of menu line).

3)  Search/scroll in left-side window and open the "Tax Payments" worksheet.

That worksheet shows both the Federal and State withholding totals you either entered, or imported, BUT, it's broken down for the various form-types in your tax filing, also including any quarterly estimates you might have made.

Check thru those amounts, and if any of them appear to be too high, you can check to see the other worksheets/forms in your file to see if you either mis-entered a value, or perhaps double-entered some particular form.

Or, maybe it's OK as far as you can see, and some provider didn't send the proper form to the IRS in a timely manner.  (they send data to the IRS separately from you, and the IRS tries to match up what you indicated, with the data they get from the financial providers/employers.  When that happens the IRS may request that you to send them paper copies (or fax copies) of the various provider forms that are in your possession, that show the withholding that was done.
