Submit 2018 Return, not 2017. I used Turbotax last year for the first time and Now I'm trying to make a 2018 return, but it's saying 2017 still.

If you are trying to use the TurboTax software from your computer instead of online version, you have to purchase each year's version from Intuit. Once you have the new version of TurboTax for 2018, then you can transfer over your personal info from 2017 return - pretty simple process that TurboTax software asks if you want it to do for you.(You can purchase the software and download it to your computer instead of waiting for a CD. If you ever need to download again, it is easy process from Intuit by logging in to your account. All your years products for download are available in your profile.

You could have downloaded the new Desktop program immediately.  Oh well.  Were you at least able to transfer 2017 into the online version?

I didn't transfer anything, just entered AGI from that. Now I know to get it yearly. I normally get it from Costco. The download was 110 bucks and online for the same premier was 80.

Yes Costco has one of the best prices and has a coupon in January.  If you buy directly from Turbo Tax it might be higher.

Hey, be sure to download the data file, it ends in .tax2018 before October so you will have it on your computer next year to transfer into 2019.  And save the pdf too.  Or you might not be able to get a copy when you need one.  Or if you ever need to amend 2018 in the future.

The download includes a state.  Did you do a state return?  State is a separate 39.99 or 44.99 in the Online version.
