I submitted my tax return in January, the IRS received it in February, and I still have not received my refund.
I took a look at my return and I noticed that I received my first stimulus payment at $1700.00 but I had not received my $600 when filing. I have a single dependent that I can only claim every other year so I forgot that I had received the additional payment for her the FIRST stimulus but not the SECOND. I had forgotten that I could check online and see exactly how much I had gotten back.
So, needless to say, there appears to be a mistake on that line item only. I'm thinking that this is the ONLY reason I haven't gotten my refund back yet. But I'm not sure, because I can't even track it on the IRS website where my refund actually is. I called them, they said they received it, but did not give me any more information other than that.
Would that be something they would fix? Or should I file an amended return to fix that item and expedite my return?

You do not need to amend your return due to any stimulus misstatements on your tax return. The IRS has published they will review and catch those errors and notify you of any corrections. See questions G2 and G3 here.
