I just filed my 2019 taxes jointly on July 15th.

Do my wife and i receive our stimulus checks automatically....and do they come separate from the refund?....and how long before we receive?....is there anything i need to do?

Stimulus checks are not part of your tax refund.

The IRS can look at your 2018 or 2019 return to issue a stimulus check.  If they do not have a 2018 return then you may be waiting for them to finish processing 2019 before they will be able to use it to issue your stimulus check.

If you used the non-filer site, you will not be able to e-file a 2019 return after using the non-filer site.

TurboTax has no control over your stimulus check, nor can TT track it for you or tell you when the IRS will issue it. Refer to the sites linked below:

You can call the IRS hotline at 1-800-919-9835 to get updates on your stimulus payment.

You will receive the check automatically when the IRS finally gets around to processing it. It is not included with your tax refund but is sent separately. Only the IRS could tell you when you will get it.

Use this stimulus payment portal to track the status: https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment

See these Q&As for more info: Get My Payment Frequently Asked Questions | Internal Revenue Service

Economic Impact Payment Information Center | Internal Revenue Service

You can try calling them to check on the status:

Call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday
When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info). Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions."
    - When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, don't enter anything.
    - After it asks twice, you will get another menu.
Press 2 for personal or individual tax questions.
Then press 4 for all other inquiries
It should then transfer you to an agent.
